J F Firlit General Manager JFF85*076 Recently, your Region conducted an inspection of our.Maintenance Program at o~r Palisades Nuclear Plant.

1 would like to commend your lead inspector, Mr Al Madison, for what I thought was an outstanding job.

Al was very professional in his conduct, kept the communication links open between my staff and your inspectors, responded in a professional manner when there were areas of disagreement, and resolved those areas of disagreement.

In addition, Al met with me on a daily basis to update ~e on the issues that your NRC Inspectors brought to his attention during a given day. --

This type of professionalism tells me that Al is a well-qualified individual not only from a technical standpoint, but from ~~management standpoint as well.
