David J VandeWalle Director of Nuclear Licensing PALISADES PLANT - REQUEST FOR EXTENSION TO SUBMIT FINAL SAFETY ANAYSIS REPORT (FSAR) UPDATE REVISION 0 - CHAPTER 14 Consumers Power Company letter dated June 28, 1984 submitted the Palisades Plant Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) Update, Revision O, with the exception of Chapter 14.
We stated that Chapter 14 would be submitted at a later date but prior to the 24-month deadline of November 22, 1984 established by 10 CFR 50.71 (e){3)(ii).
This letter is to inform you that we are continuing to finalize the update of Chapter 14 and will be unable to meet the NovemQer 22, 1984 deadline.
The updated FSAR Chapter 14 will be ready for submittal by the end of December, 1984.
Therefore, Consumers Power Company requests an extension of the schedular requirements of 10 CFR 50.7l{e)(3)(ii) from November 22, 1984 to
- December 31, 1984.
This extension will not effect Revision 1 of the FSAR Update which will be submitted by July 1, 1985.
