PALIS.APES PLANT -.PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST REVISED ACCIDENT AND TRANSIENT ANALYSES DUE TO STEAM GENERATOR TUBE PLUGGING Attached are three (3) originals and thirty-seven (37) conformed copies of a request for a change to the Palisades Technical Specifications.
The initial inspection of the Palisades Steam Generators during the current refueling outage revealed a large number of indications of apparent defective Steam Generator tubes that may have to be plugged.
A safety analysis was initiated to provide justification for continued power operation at an acceptable power with.assumed average plugging level of 50% bounded by a 60%/40% asymmetric plugging condition..This safety analysis justifies continued power operation of the Palisades Plant at the reduced power of 2125.2 MWt with changes made to
- certain operating parameters.
The Palisades Plant is scheduled, upon approval of this Technical Specifi-cation Change Request, to heatup May 8, 1984.
The proposed change involves a single safety issue.
Therefore a check in the amount of $4,000.00 is attached pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 Class III change.,_,.. c.,
