SUBTOPIC: "SEISMIC EVALUATION OF ELECTRICAL RACEWAY SYSTEMS."
In a letter dated June 15, 1983, Consumers Power Company submitted an Action Plan and schedule concerning the evaluation of the Safety-Related Electrical
-Raceway System.
Phase III of this Action Plan entailed the submittal of the Phase I and II Summary Reports and a schedule for completing a program to demonstrate the adequacy of the Palisades Plant Safety-Related Electrical Raceway System.
This item was forecasted to be completed by December 30, 1983.
During a recent meeting between the Owners Group and the NRC staff on November 29, 1983, the Staff stated that plant specific recommendations will be made by the NRC on the Electrical Raceway System.
A plant specific Safety Evaluation Report (SER) is expected to be issued by the NRC by February 1984.
Consumers Power Company intends to submit an action plan and completion schedule concerning the items that arise from the SER, and all other items necessary to close out the subtopic.
The plan and schedule will be submitted 30 days after the receipt of the SER.
