consumers Power company General Offices: 212 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Ml 49201 * (517) 788-0550 December 29, 1982 Dennis M Crutchfield, Chief Operating Reactor Branch No 5 Nuclear Reactor Regulation US Nuclear Regulatory Comm.isssion Washington, DC 20555 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - ALTERATION TO NOVEMBER 8, 1982 SUBMITTAL REGARDING IE BULLETIN 80-11, "MASONARY WALLS" A small discrepancy has been identified in the Consumers Power Company response to IE Bulletin 80-11, "Masonary Walls", dated November 8, 1982.
The wall of interest, C-321. 6, has been modified twice.
Initially, it was repaired so that it would meet Palisades criteria.
Secondly, the wall was removed and a reinforced concrete wall was erected in its place.
The erection of the reinforced wall was not noted in the Consumers Power Company response, subsequently two changes to the listings in the response must be made.
On page 3, wall C-321. 6 should be transferred from under "Meets Palisades Criteria Not Latest NRC Criteria" to "Meets Latest NRC Criteria".
On page 9, the "Modification Description" for wall C-321. 6 should be changed from 1 to 4.
