The NRC requested a written response from Consumers Power Company within 30 days of receipt of this letter to address certain security-related findings and observations.

The purpose of this letter is to confirm our telephone discussion of December 21, 1982 in which it* was agreed to extend the due date for our response to February 18, 1983.
