- PALISADES PLANT - AUXILIARY FEEDWATER SYSTEM MODIFICATION - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -
AFW PUMP DIESEL LOADING NRC staff review of Consumers Power Company -submittal dated August 11, 1982 and entitled "Auxiliary Feedwater System Modification Additional Information" identified a question regarding confirmation that the motor driven Auxiliary Feedwater (AFW) Pumps (P-8A and P-8C) are loaded on the emergency diesel generators upon loss of off-site power.
This letter provides the confirmation that the Auxiliary Feedwater System Modification provides for the AFW pumps P-8A and P-8C to be loaded on the emergency diesel generators by the design basis accident (DBA) sequencer and the normal shutdown sequencer upon a loss of offsite power.
