- PALISADES PLANT - INACTIVE REVIEWS (XN-76-4 AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST LIMITING CONDITIONS FOR OPERATION FOR DIESEL GENERATOR)
In NRC letter dated June 18, 1982, the NRC reQuested information on the status of two open items which have had no activity for several years.
The first item concerns the use of Combustion Engineering Type ABC fuel (unpressurized fuel) for Cycle 2 or Cycle 3 operations at the Palisades Plant.
At this time, Consumers Power Company does not intend to use this fuel and, therefore, we withdraw our reQuest for the NRC to review Exxon Topical Report XN-76-4.
The second item concerns a Technical Specification change reQuest for the diesel generators submitted to the NRC on June 9, 1976.
Consumers Power Company agrees that our proposed Technical Specification change reQuest dated August 21, 1980 redefining "operability" supercedes the June 9, 1976 reQuest, and we withdraw the earlier reQuest.
