~NSUMERS POWER COMPANY Docket 50-255 Request for Change to the Technical Specification License DPR-20 For the reasons hereinafter set forth, it is requested that the Technical Specifications contained in the Provisional Operating License DPR-20, Docket 50-255, issued to Consumers Power Company on October 16, 1972, for the Palisades Plant be changed as described in Section I below:
I.
CHANGE Revise Item (b) of Section 4.6.5 to read as follows:
"Each fan and valve required to function during accident conditions will be exercised at three month intervals."
NOTE:
A revised Technical Specification page is attached.
The proposed change is shown by a vertical line in the right hand margin.
II.
DISCUSSION The above proposed Technical Specification change is requested in in order to permit the 25%/325% extensions of Technical Specification 4.0.2 to apply to 4.6.5.
A similar change does not have to be made to 4. 6.. 3 as this section was deleted by our proposed Technical Specification ;:hange Request dated May 14, i982.
III.
CONCLUSION Based on the foregoing, both the Palisades Plant Review Committee and the Safety and Audit Review Board have reviewed this change and find it acceptable.
