The NRC Order issued November 9~ 1979 requi~umers Power Company to inspect accessible valves and other controls for engineered safety systems at our Palisades Plant on a monthly basis.
The inspection was conducted for the month of August 1981 and verified compliance with LCO requirements of the Palisades Technical Specifications.
A discrepancy in valve lineup for the backup compressed gas supply to the T-rings for containment purge valves CV-1813 and CV-1814 was noted during the inspection.
This discrepancy did not constitute noncompliance with any Technical Specification LCO, but did represent a reduction in redundancy of the pressurizing supply to the T-rings for these valves.
This condition is being reported to the NRC per Pali-sades LER 81-34.
