NRC Generic Letter 81-01 dated May 4, 1981 requested Consumers Power Company to connnit to meet regulatocy positions C.5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 of Regulatocy Guide 1.58, Revision 1, dated.September 1980, and Regulatocy Guide 1.146, dated August 1980, and to.provide our planned date* for doing so. If these methods of complying with 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B regarding qualification.
of nuclear power plant inspection, examination, and testing personnel and qualification of audit personnel are not chosen, then a description of alternative methods for compliance was requested including their schedule for implementation.
Consumers Power Company commits to comply with the requirements of Regulatocy Guide 1.146, dated August 1980 and to regulatory positions C.5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 of Regulatocy Guide 1.58, Revision 1, dated September 1980.
The implementa-tion of these.guidance docunients into the new Consumers Power Company Nuclear Operations Department Standards as described in Consumers Power Company letter*.
