The proposed Technical Specifications will relax the requirements of the steam generator inspection as a result of the observed reduction in the corrosion rate of the s/g tubes.
In order to accelerate considerati.on of the proposed change in time for the August 1981 refueling outage we are requesting a meeting with your staff to present the proposed change and to resolve any comments or questions you may have.
The most convenient time for the meeting would be between May 25 and June 5.
The selection of the exact date is left to your discretion.
The proposed change involves a single safety issue.
Therefore, a check in the amount of $4,000 is attached pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22, Class III change.
