requested Consumers Power Company to provide a schedule for inspection of snubbers produced by manufacturers other than International Nuclear Safeguards Corporation (INC).
The subject bulletin also requested that the testing of these snubbers be completed prior to completion of the next refueling outage.
The Palisades Plant has only nine mechanical snubbers, none of which were manufactured by INC.
Of these nine, seven are located on safety-related piping.
All nine snubbers were installed by Bechtel Power Corporation during the last refueling outage but the turnover package has not yet been completed.
As a result a testing procedure has not been developed.
The development and implementation of these procedures will be completed prior to our next refuel-ing outage.
Testing will be completed during the Fall, 1981 Refueling Outage, and the results will be forwarded to you upon completion of the evaluation.
