PALISADES PLANT - RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN 79-18, AUDIBILITY PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED ON EVACUATION OF PERSONNEL FROM HIGH NOISE AREAS IE Bulletin 79-18, Audibility Problems Encountered on Evacuation of Personnel From High Noise Areas, dated August 7, 1979, required a survey/test to be made in order to determine whether current alarm systems/evacuation announcement systems are clearly audible throughout the entire Palisades Plant.
Our letter dated Spetember 28, 1979 advised you that a response to the subject bulletin would be provided 30 days after plant start-up from our refueling outage.
In the latter part of June 1980 this survey/test was conducted at the Palisades Plant.
During the course of this survey/test, some needed repairs to the Evacuation Alarm System were noted.
On August 1, 1980 we submitted a letter to you stating that upon completion of
. the repairs to the Evacuation Alarm System, that another survey/test would be conducted.
This was to be completed in October 1980.
These repairs have not been completed to date.
The survey/test will be conducted upon the completion of these repairs.
