The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a report on the status of discovery and other prehearing matters in this proceeding pursuant to your Memorandum and Order of February 29, 1980.
Counsel for the NRC Staff and Licensee have discussed and agreed to the contents of this letter.
On August 18,. 1980, the Staff submitted additional information to Licensee in response to your "Memorandum and Order on Licensee's Motion. to Compel Discovery," dated July 22, 1980.
On August 20, 1980, Licensee directed addi-
- ,.tional interrogatories to the Staff, and the Staff is cur-rently working on answers thereto.
The Staff is also preparing additional discovery requests directed to Licensee which should be served within a short time.
