- Area Code 517 788-0550 August 25, 1980 Mr James G Keppler Office of Inspection and Enforcement Region III U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - RESPONSE TO IE INSPECTION REPORT 80-09 IE Inspection Report 80-09, dated July 21, 1980, identified a deficiency in our Palisades Plant Q,A Program with respect to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, Criterion XVI.
A response to this Inspection Report was originally due August 12, 1980.
Consumers Power Company requested an initial extension until August 25, 1980, during a tele-phone conversation between Mr D C Boyd (Region III) and Mr S R Frost (CPCo) on August 4, 1980.
Since the management of the Palisades Plant has recently changed, proper evalua-tion and solution of this problem has not been completed.
We will submit our complete response to the subject Inspection Report by September 23, 1980.
