- Area Code 517 788-0550 June 17, 1980 Mr James G Keppler Off ice of Inspection and Enforcement Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DOCKET 50-255 - LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT - RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN 79-18, AUDIBILITY PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED ON EVAC-UATION OF PERSONNEL FROM HIGH NOISE AREAS IE Bulletin 79-18, Audibility Problems Encountered on Evacuation of Personnel From High Noise Areas, requires a survey to be made in order to determine whether current alarm systems/evacuation announcement systems are clearly audible throughout the entire Palisades Plant.
This bulletin was received at the beginning of the Palisades Plant 1979 refueling outage.
Consumers Power Comany advised the NRC by letter dated September 28, 1979 that a response to the subject bulletin would be provided 30 days after plant start-up.
This project will be completed and submitted to the NRC by July 31, 1980.
