STEAM GENEF'.ATOR REPAIR REPORT:
TRANSMITTAL OF REVISION 5 A}ffi SUPPLEJ'!ENT 1 Consumers 'Power Company letter dated February 4, 1980 transmitted Revision 4 of the subject report.
The transmittal letter for Revision 4 stated that additional information regarding planned methods of opening the containment to permit installation of the new steam gene:':"ators would be trans_mitted as a su:i?plement to the subject report.
This information was requested in a meeting between CP Co and NRC on August 21, 197i;,,
Transmitted herewith are Revis~on S and Supplem~nt l to the subject cepo;:-t.
Supplement 1 provides the cequested information regarding construction -plans to open and close the Palisades contain.11ent building.
The information p~*ovided in Supplement 1 demonstrate~; that the containment will satisfy original structural design criteri3 during and after construction work for steam generator replacement.
Revision 5 adds appropriate references to Supplement 1. a'nd deletes certain construction information now prov:i(led in more detail in Supplement 1.

- and the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, as amended and the Commiss.ion's Rules and Regulations thereunder, Consumers Power Company submits the "Palisades Plant Steam Generator Repair Report," Revision 5, February 1980 and Supplement 1 to this report entitled, "Construction Opening Report."
These documents describe the potential repair program based on complete replacement of the existing steam generators if major repairs become necessary.
