- By letter dated October 10, 1979, the NRC requested that an upgraded emergency plan for the Palisades Plant be submitted five weeks after the, NRR review team site visit or.prior to January i, 198.0.
Conversations bet.ween Mr Milton Jury (Consumers *Power) and Mr William Axelson (NRC-Region'.III) resulted in a delayed submittal.
Consumers *Power Company is submitting the attached draft, dated January 2, 1980, of our "Palisades Plant Site Emergency Plan" in accordance with the format of Regulatory*Guide 1.101, the requirement of Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the acceptance criteria contained in.Emergency Planning Review Guidelines Number One - Revision One, dated September 7, 1979.
Since the NRC ha.s requested that. the upgraded plan be submitted for evalua-tion, Consumers Power Company has deviated from our normal Site Emergency Plan re'\\,.{sion methods - revising the FSAR and issuing appropriate page changes at the time of implementation.
In the present case, Consumers Power Company will not implement the upgraded Site Emergency Plan until after the NRC has completed its evaluation.
