'i This letter is to confirm our plans to meet with you and your coll~agues on January 14, 1980, to discuss the NRC's regulatory program for protection of the public health and safety, specifically as.it relates to the Consumers Power Company's Palisades Nuclear Power Station.

The meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. (nominally one hour) in the Van Buren County Court House in Paw Paw.

While the meeting is intended to be in-formal, we have prepared a tentative agenda which is enclosed.

We hope this meeting will be informative for you; please note that we have allotted a portion of the time for questions and answers.
