Division of Operating Reactors Nuclear Regulatory Commission 7920 Norfolk Ave Bethesda, MD 20014 Consumers Power Company had promised to supply the information requested, as a result of the Seismic Review Team's visit to Palisades, by August 15, 1979*
Due to the large amount of work which must be performed to address I E Bulletin 79-14 our Consultant, the Bechtel Corporation, will not be able to provide their input to us U.ntil August 20, 1979.
This I E Bulletin requires that the people responsible for the piping systems and pipe hangers review the bulletin, develop the program and procedures, obtain the final design calculations and compare the information ob~.~'ined from the field to these calculations.
These are the same people who must provide the information requested from the Seismic Review Team (Mechanical Engineers - piping and equipment, Civil Engineers - structures and supports).
This input must then be reviewed, have the comments resolved and folded
_into the Combustion Engineering input and our input in order to complete the package and then typed.
As a result, the completed package is
