INFORMATION REQUESTED ON PWR FEED-WATER LINES

By letter dated May 25, 1979 (V Stello to all PWR Licensees concerning cracking in feed-water lines at DC Cook Units 1 and 2), you req_uested information concerning the Palisades feed-water lines.
Consumers Power Company responded on June 19, 1979 with the information available at that time.
Following is the remainder of that information req_uested.
Items are numbered as in the original req_uest for information.
I.
DESIGN Item 2 Provide the results of any stress or fatigue analyses which were performed for this system (feedwater).
Response
Combustion Engineering Inc is in the process of retrieving this information for all CE plants.
We will supply it when it becomes available.
II.
FABRICATION HISTORY Item 2 Provide the details of the welding process(es) used to make the nozzle-to-pipe, pipe to sparger and piping welds.
Include details of welding such as preheat, joint configuration (include with or without backing ring),
and post weld treatment, if any.
