LICENSE DPR PALISADES PLANT -
CONTAINMENT PURGING DURING NORMAL PLANT OPERATION In response to your "Containment Purging During Normal Plant Operation" letter dated November 29, l978, Consumers Power Company will commit to limit contain-ment purging (other than during cold shutdown or refueling conditions) to 90 hours0.00104 days <br />0.025 hours <br />1.488095e-4 weeks <br />3.4245e-5 months <br /> per year.
The required Technical Specifications change will be included in our changeover to Standard Technical Specifications scheduled for mid-l979.
Information concerning the ability of our containment isolation valves to close under postulated design basis accident conditions will be provided by March 1, 1979*
A review of the design of all safety actuation signal circuits is scheduled for completion by mid-March l979.
Administrative controls to prevent "improper manual defeat" of safety actuation signals are not considered necessary.
Tech-nical Specifications do not allow "improper manual defeat" of safety actuation
