IE INSPECTION 78-20 During the exit meeting at the conclusion of IE Inspection 78-20, a commitment was made to install evacuation sirens in the new service building addition by

November 15, 1978.
This commitment date was made under the assumption that the tie-in to. the existing evacuation siren-_system could be readily accomplished.
/
Preliminary review has revealed that the_~ie-in -will-require a more detailed engineering review than_ was originally.anticipated.
In addition, the -work scope*
of running the reQuired cables appears to be significantly more extensive than originally envisioned.
As a result, it is anticipated that this modification will not be completed until January 15, 1979.
Inasmuch as the Site Emergency Plan requires notifi-cation of plant personnel via the public address sytem in the event of a site emergency, and since there are PA sp-eakers in the new service building, we conclude that the delay in completing this modification will not adversely affect the safety of plant personnel.
