NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-259/99-04, 50-260/99~,
AND 50-296/99-04
Dear Mr. Scalice:
This refers to the. inspection conducted on June 13 through July 24, 1999, at the Browns Ferry
Nuclear facility. The. enclosed report presents the results of this, inspection.
During the inspection period, your conduct of activities at the Browns Ferry Nuclear. facilitywas
generally characterized by'safety-conscious
operations, sound engineering and maintenance
practices, and appropriate radiation controls and security measures.
Based on the results ofthis inspection,.the NRC has determined. that four violations of NRC
requirements occurred.
These violations, are being treated as non-cited violations;(NCVs),
consistent-with Appendix'C-of the Enforcement Policy. These NCVs are described in the
subject inspection report. Ifyou contest any. ofthese NCVs, you should provide a response
within 30 days of.the date of this inspection report, with the basis for your denial,.to the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission, ATTN: Document Control Desk, Washington DC 205554001, with
copies.to the'Regional Administrator, Region'll, and the Director, Office of Enforcement, United
States Nuclear Regulatory Commission,. Washington, DC 20555-0001.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
