In the Matter of Tennessee Valley Authority Docket No. 50-260 BROWNS 'FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN)
UNIT 2 - CYCLE 10 POWER ASCENSION TEST PROGRAM. (PATP)
START-UP REPORT This letter provides the BFN Unit 2, Cycle 10 Start-up Report to NRC as required by BFN Technical Specification Section 6.9.1.1 due to the installation of fuel of a different design.
This cycle is the first reload of General Electric (GE)
GE13 fuel assemblies.
The PATP was performed during the period of September 29,
- 1997, through November 5,
1997.
Testing has been completed as defined within the scope of the BFN Unit 2 PATP.
Completed tests met performance criteria or had test deficiencies issued which were satisfactorily dispositioned.
The test results confirm that BFN Unit 2 systems are capable of meeting design functions.
- Further, power operation can be safely and efficiently continued.
There are no known deficiencies that could be detrimental to the continued safe operation of the unit.
