TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN)

UNITS 2 AND 3 PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS)

CHANGE TS-384 LIST OF COMMITMENTS Commitments 1 through 3 will be completed for Units 2 and Unit 3 prior to implementation of the power uprate on that unit.

1. Evaluations will be conducted to insure that the safety related electrical equipment required per 10CFR50.49 is properly qualified for the normal, abnormal and accident conditions postulated at uprated conditions.

2. NPSH evaluations for uprate will reflect the conditions present at the time uprate is implemented.

The final conclusions regarding ECCS NPSH will be formulated in accordance with the methodology and schedule for NRC Bulletin 96-03 and anticipated NRC guidance.

3. Motor operated valves which experience new conditions as a

result of uprated power will be evaluated in accordance with Generic Letter 89-10.

4. TVA will issue a

TS change detailing equipment and setpoint changes made as a result of utilizing the GOTHIC computer program for EQ modeling.

TVA expects to issue a

TS change to NRC detailing these changes by first quarter of 1998.

5. Startup/Surveillance testing will be conducted to demonstrate the ability of plant systems to perform their designed functions under uprated conditions as defined by the start-up test program.
