Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection
conducted
by David H. Thompson of this office on
October 3-5,
1995.
The inspection, included
a review of activities authorized
for your Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant.
At the conclusion of the inspection,
the
findings were di'scussed
with those
members of your staff ident'ified in the
enclosed report.
The area
examined during this inspection
was your Access Authorization Program
which is required
by 10 CFR 73.56, effective April 27,
1992.
Within that
Program,- the inspection
consi'sted of selective
reviews of background
investigations,
psychological testing, training of supervisors
in the
detection of aberrant
behavior,
appeals
and the protection of personal
information.
Additionally, the inspectors
reviewed
a part of 10 CFR Part 26,
Fitness
For Duty Program concerning call-in procedures.
Within the scope of the inspection, violations or deviations
were not
identified.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the
NRC's, "Rules
and Practices,"
a copy of
this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
