SECTION ZI INSERVICE TESTING PUMPS AND VALVES PROGRAM UPDATE (TAC NOS ~ M84494g M84495I M84496)
This letter provides TVA's update to the BFN's Inservice Testing (IST) program and addresses the anomalies identified by NRC in their October 22, 1993, safety evaluation report.
NRC reviewed BFN's IST second ten year inspection interval program and identified the anomalies listed in enclosure 1.
The IST program update (Enclosure
- 2) contains the appropriate changes to address the anomalies.
The IST program update contains clarifications to the program description and relief requests.
In addition, TVA includes program changes
( i.e., addition of components and editorial changes) to the component listing tables and a new cold shutdown justification 12 (CSDZ-12).
TVA requests NRC review and approval of CSDZ-12 prior to May 1, 1996.
Additionally, NRC requested TVA to acknowledge understanding of the conditions for which the relief requests and cold shutdown justifications were accepted in the safety evaluation report.
