UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION WASHINGTON, D.C. 20555-0001 SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-6613 Model No. 702 Package Certificate of Compliance No. 6613 Revision No. 19 EVALUATION By application dated December 4, 2017, QSA Global, Inc., (QSA) requested a renewal of Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 6613 for the Model No. 702 package with some minor reference updates, editorial changes, and clarifications to the safety analysis report (SAR).
The applicant revised a number of sections in the application for clarity and completeness, but such revisions did not change the original intent of the sections affected nor did they change the package construction or design. Details of specific changes can be found in the SAR at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission document database, the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17340A721.
Based on the statements and representation in the application and the conditions listed below, the staff concludes that these changes do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.
The staff reviewed the consolidated application and determined that the required documentation is available and complete.
CONDITIONS The following changes have been made to the certificate of compliance:
Condition No. 9 reflects a new expiration date of the certificate.
The December 4, 2017, submittal supersedes all previous revisions of the application and was included in the References section.
CONCLUSION Based on the statements and representations contained in the application and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the design of the Model No. 702 package has been adequately described and evaluated. Based on the statements and representations in the amendment request, the staff finds that these changes do not affect the ability of the packages to meet the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 71.
Issued with Certificate of Compliance No. 6613, Revision No. 19, on February 6, 2018.
