1993 Pursuant to BFN Technical Specifications 6.9.1.2 and 6.9.2.1, TVA hereby submits this annual operating report for BFN Units 1, 2,

and 3, for the period of January 1,

1993 through December 31, 1993.

The enclosed report contains a summary of plant conditions, occupational exposure

data, reactor vessel fatigue usage, liquid and gaseous releases.

Additionally, the report details challenges to, or failures of, the main steam relief valves.

Furthermore, this report also contains safety evaluations for revisions to: the Final Safety Analysis

Report, procedures (new or revisions),

special operating conditions, new tests, and plant modifications that were field completed during this reporting period.

There were no safety evaluations approved during this reporting period for temporary alterations to the plant.

Please note that previous operating reports, summarized the safety evaluations for plant modifications that were approved during that year.

Beginning with this report, safety evaluations for plant modifications are included only after the modification has been field completed.

Safety evaluations that were summarized in previous reports are not included in this report unless the evaluation was revised.
