This letter notifies NRC that TVA has implemented its commitment for the installation of an upgraded process computer and an enhanced sequence of events recording capability.
At-power testing has been completed and the system declared operable.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission NOV 09 1993 TVA committed to provide this notification as part of the Unit 2 Cycle 6 outage completion letter (Reference 1).
TVA made this commitment in response to Generic Letter 83-28, Required Actions Based on Generic Implications of Salem ATWS
- Events, Item 1.2, Post-Trip Review Data and Information Capability (Reference 2).
TVA's response was accepted in the NRC's Safety Evaluation (Reference 3).
Since the time of the original TVA submittal, the previously described upgrade to a Digital VAX 11/750 process computer system was accomplished using a Digital VAX 6000 system.
The functions previously performed by the sequence of events and time history recorder are now accomplished using the process computer system.
However,: the guidance, contained in the Generic Letter and the requirements'of the:Safety.
Evaluation 'continue to be met.
