34 1 - CHARCOAL TESTING STANDARDS UNITS 1 q 2 q AND 3 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.4 and 50.90, TVA hereby submits a request for an amendment (TS-341) to licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 to change the BFN Technical Specifications for Units 1, 2, and 3 (Enclosure 1).
The proposed changes revise the requirements for the laboratory sample analysis of charcoal adsorbers to reflect the latest ASTM standard.

e U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission SEP 29 1993 TVA has evaluated the proposed Technical Specification amendments against the criteria provided by 10 CFR 50.92 and has determined that no significant hazards considerations are involved.,
A reason for the change, description and justification in support of the proposed amendments are enclosed (Enclosure 2).
A proposed determination of no significant hazards considerations is contained in Enclosure 3.
We request that these specifications be made effective 30 days after issuance.
