Ladies and Gentlemen:
In accordance with 10 CFR 52.99(a), Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC), as a Combined License (COL) holder under 10 CFR 52, hereby submits the six-month construction schedule for completing the Inspections, Tests, Analyses (ITA) in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4.
Enclosures 1 and 2 contain the ITA completion schedules for VEGP Unit 3 and Unit 4, respectively. Enclosure 3 providesa Reader's Guidefor understanding the detailed construction information contained within each ITAcompletion schedule.
The enclosed ITA completionschedules are based on projected construction activitiesas of January 1,2018. The enclosed ITA completion schedules continue to track Unit 3 and Unit 4 reference ITAAC that were consolidated by license amendments 85 and 84 (respectively).
These ITAAC are individually depicted as being closed on August 24, 2017, the date the license amendment request was approved. The activity dates are established by, and are the property of SNC, and are based on the VEGP 3 and 4 integrated project construction schedule. As schedule changes occur, they will be reflected infuture ITAAC completion schedule updates.
The construction schedule information provided in Enclosures 1 and 2 is considered proprietary and exempt from mandatory public disclosure pursuantto the provisions of 10 CFR 2.390(a)(4) and 10 CFR 9.17(a)(4). In accordance with the approach described in SECY-06-0114 and NEI 08-01, the construction schedule information was demonstrated to be proprietary based on affidavits provided bySNC to the NRC on October 6, 2017 (ADAMS ML17279A661).
