NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-259/92-17, 50-260/92-17,

and

50-296/92-1 7

This refers to the inspection conducted by C. A. Patterson of this office on

April 18, 1992 - May 15, 1992.

The inspection included a review of activities

authorized for your Browns Ferry facility. At the conclusion of the inspection, the

findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the

enclosed report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.

Within these

areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and

representative

records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in

progress.

The enclosed Inspection Report identifies activities that violated NRC requirements

that will not be subject to enforcement action because the licensee's efforts in

identifying and/or correcting the violation meet the criteria specified in Section Vll.

B. of the Enforcement Policy.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice", a copy of this

letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
