WITHDRAWAL OF LICENSE AMENDMENT - BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (TAC NOS.Hl55395,f55396 ANDIII55397)

By letter dated August 14, 1984, as supplemented by letters dated September 21, 1984 and April 12, 1985, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted an application to amend the operating licenses of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFNP), Units 1, 2 and 3.

This application requested the NRC to incorporate provisions of TVA s Integrated Living Schedule (ILS) into the BFNP licenses.

However, after further consideration, TVA has since decided that the ILS is redundant and creates an unnecessary burden on plant resources.

Consequently, by letter dated September 20, 1991, TVA formally withdrew its request to incorporate ILS into the BFNP licenses.

As such, the NRC staff concludes that no further review of TVA's application is warranted, and the staff hereby accepts TVA's notification of withdrawal.

Enclosed is the Notice of Withdrawal of an Amendment Request for the Facility Operating Licenses of Units 1, 2 and 3 that the staff has filed with the Office of the Federal Register for publication in the next available issue of the Federal Register.
