BROWNS FERRY EXAHINATION REPORT 50-259/OL-91-01 The NRC administered operational evaluations in preparation for Unit 2 startup during the weeks of February 14 through March 21, 1991, to selected employees of your company who currently hold licenses to operate the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant.
Since only operational evaluations were performed, no written examinations or job performance measures weye administered.
At the conclusion of each weekly site visit, preliminary findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the Examination Report, Enclosure 1.
Included in this report are any identified operator weaknesses or program areas needing improvement.
These concerns have been discussed with your training staff.
A Simulation Facility Fidelity Report is provided in this report as Enclosure 2.
Based upon the results of the Requalification Examinations conducted in 1989 and 1990 and these operational evaluations, the NRC has determined that the six crews selected to restart Unit 2 are prepared to perform all required licensed duties to safely operate the reactor.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a) of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
