In the Hatter of Tennessee Valley Authority Docket Ho. 50-260 BROMHS FERRY HUCLEAR PLAHT (BFN) RESCHEDULING OF ENVIROHHENTAL QUALIFICATIOH 10 CFR 50.49 CERTIFICATION AHD INSPECTION The purpose of this letter is to inform HRC that TVA will not certif compliance with 10 CFR 50.49 on February 28, 1989, as previously scheduled and request HRC to defer the Environmental Qualification (Eg)
(10 CFR 50.49) audit for Browns Ferry unit 2 which is currently scheduled for Harch 20, 1989.
This request is baaed on several factors.
Certain plant modifications and ocumentation will not be completed and ready for the audit as currently scheduled.
These tasks have been given a high priority and are closely monitored by site management.
Additional time is needed to allow newly acquired members of the TVA and BFH management teams the opportunity to assess the Eg program for Browns Ferry.
