In the Matter of Tennessee Valley Authority Docket No. 50-260 BRONNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) OPERATIONAL READINESS (OR)
PROGRAM This letter confirms the following information provided in discussions with the NRC's Office of Special Projects personnel regarding TVA's OR program which is described in Section V of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Performance Plan (BFNPP).
1.
The OR assessment for BFN unit 2 restart will be conducted at three levels:
A site-managed BFN Operational Readiness
- Program, an independent Nuclear Power (NP) Operational Readiness
- Review, and a NP-directed Senior Management Assessment of Readiness for Restart.
2.
The work scope of the independent NP Operational.,Read.i.nes,s..
Review. wi.l.l,.be essentially the same as the OR reviews performed at'he direct'ion of'he Senior Vice President, Nuclear Power, to assess readiness for restart of the Sequoyah units.
3.
The Site Master Punchlist has been developed and is currently being used by TVA as part of the System Pre-operability Checklist process.
The above information will be incorporated in Revision 3 of the BFNPP.
A summary statement of commitments contained in this submittal is enclosed.
