50-260 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) RESPONSE TO LIST OF SUBHITTALS NEEDED FROM TVA TO SUPPORT RESTART This letter is in response to your letter from S.
Black to S. White, dated September 12,
- 1988, which provided a list of the submittals which the NRC staff needed from TVA to support NRC decisions regarding Unit 2 restart.
This list contained several submittals whose completion dates were considered by TVA to be regulatory commitments.
These regulatory commitments include responses to requests for additional information and TVA docketed commitments to provide information by a specific date.
This list. also contained
- some, submi ttals whose scheduled submittal dates were TVA"s".internal admini'strative target completion dates and were not considered to be committed submittal completion dates.
Enclosure 1 to this letter provides the staff with an actual submittal date or a committed completion date for all submittals discussed in the staffs'etter.
New committed submittal dates are annotated on the enclosure.
This enclosure reflects the status of the submi ttals as of October 4, 1988.
As a matter of standard working practice, TVA will continue to provide the
, staff with internal target completion dates for all submittals as a courtesy to assist in the planning and scheduling of the manpower required to review and resolve these issues.
TVA will provide formal commitments for submittal completion dates on the docket, when requested.
In addition to the list of submi ttals provided in the September 12, 1988
- letter, the staff requested TVA provide the expected fuel reload and restart dates for Browns Ferry Unit 2.
All systems required for fuel reload are expected to be ready by October 27, 1988.
Browns Ferry is expected to be ready for restart four to six months after fuel reload.
