NEW CHAIR FOR GENERIC ISSUE REVIEW PANEL FOR PRE-GI-018, PROPOSED GENERIC ISSUE ON HIGH ENERGY FAULTS INVOLVING ALUMINUM COMPONENTS This purpose of this memorandum is to inform that Joseph Giitter, Director, Division of Operating Reactor Licensing in the Office Nuclear Reactor Regulations (NRR), will no longer serve as the Chair of the Generic Issue Review Panel (GIRP) for the proposed generic issue on high energy faults involving aluminum components. Mike Franovich, Director, Division of Risk Assessment in NRR, has agreed to serve as the Chair of the GIRP going forward.
