CONTROL ROOM HABITABILITYSYSTEM ER 100450 PILE 841-2 PLA-839 Reference PLA-830, Curtis to Grier dated 6/5/81 (attached)

Dear Mr. S'chwencert The above referenced document provided an interim report regarding potential reportability, under 10CFR50.55e,. of changes to the Control Room habitability system two envelope concept. These changes involve elimination of the dual pressure differential envelope concept to ensure habitability inside the Control Room and Control Structure. In the revised design, cross flow between the Control Room and the Control Structure has no significance since both are included in the same envelope.

Current evaluations of the Control Structure habitability system including recalculations of Control Room, Technical Support Center (TSC) and Operations Support Center (OSC) radiation doses, indicate that this single envelope design meets applicable NRC regulations. Consequently, changes to FSAR sections on Control Room habitability systems are being prepared for submittal to the NRC.

Very truly yours,

'UK4 CA~ gooi N. W. Curtis Vice President-Engineering & Construction-Nuclear TEG/mks /(
