Dear Mr. Grier:

This letter serves to supplement the above referenced correspondence which advised the Commission of a deficiency involving pipe supports welded to the containment lirer plate.

Bechtel Engineering has advised PP&L that the resolution of this subject has been determined to be more complex than originally anticipated.

We now estimate that a final report, pursuant to the reauirements of 10 CFR 50.55(e), will be available in May, 1981.
