SUBJECT:
DISCUSSION OF SUSQUEHANNA SCHEDULES A meeting was requested by Pennsylvania Power and Light Company (PP&L) to discuss the results of the NRC Caseload Forecast Panel Review Abd the NRC licensing schedule.
The meeting was held on November 14,,
1980 at the Susquehanna site.
The attached listing provides the names of the attendees.
PP&L expressed a concern that the construction schedule may not match the licensing schedule.
The NRC stated that staff can complete the safety review and make a licensing decision by March. 198'.
This date is consistent with the caseload forecast panel forecasted plant;tcoittp$ etion date.
During the meeting a detailed explanation of the key 'licensing milestones was given.
An additional topic was discussed during,,the, meeting.
PP8L requested information or guidandja relative to licensing a low, level rpd>vaste holdipg facility.
The NRC stated that a staff position had been prepared forthe Commissioners review and approval.
The staff position, when approved, w93'I be reieased to the public and PP&L,and will describe the low' level, waste, stojrage op'tions.
The NRC expected, the approvhd position paper to be available,,tI4 sevt,ral, weeks.
