Dear Dr. Grace:

Please refer to my letter to you dated August 19, 1985, which contained our response to OIE Inspection Report 85-33 for our Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant.

We indicated in that response inspectors would be given additional ultrasonic training by September 20.

However, due to unforeseen
problems, the training will not be completed until November 4, 1985.

On September 18 Mike Hellums of my staff and Art Johnson of your staff discussed this extension.
