NOTIFICATION OF NONCOMPLIANCE WITH EFFLUENT LIMITATIONS - NPDES PERMIT NO. AL0022080 - BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT Descri tion of the dischar e--Discharge No. 006 - Sewage treatment plant e uent. A grab sample collected, on January 10 and reported from the laboratory on January 17 exceeded the maximum permit limitation as shown below.

Parameter Concentration Maximum Limitation TSS 61 mg/L 45 mg/L Cause and eriod of the noncom liance The daily total flow averaged 68,500 gpd for the four days preceding sample collection. On the day of sample collection the daily total flow was 69,400 gpd. These high flows overloaded the treatment capacity of the system and contributed to the noncompliance.
