Please reference my January 5,
1982 letter to you regarding Inspection Report 50-259/81-13,
-260/81-13, and'296/81-13.
As discussed with F. Long of your staff on July 2,
- 1982, we were unable to meet the date of July 1, 1982 for revising DPM N80E3, "Nondestructive Examination Procedures Approved for Use on CSSC Items at All Nuclear Plants."
The revision to this DPM will be completed by September 15, 1982.
This extension is needed to account for the task of establishing an entirely new visual inspection program.
Also, because the revised visual test procedures will not be needed until after September 15 during the upcoming unit 2 refueling outage, the proper priority was not established for the prospect.
These procedures have been drafted and are in the approval cycle. If you have any questions, please call me at FTS 858-2725.
