50-259 50-260 50-296 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 to change the technical specifications of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1, 2, and 3 (Enclosure 1).
This is submitted as a supplement to my letter to you dated May 15, 1981 (TVA BFNP TS 162).
Also enclosed is a description and justification for the changes (Enclosure 2).
Preparation of TS 162 and this supplement 1 represent a significant effort by TVA to clarify the technical specifications.
We would appreciate your most expeditious handling.
In response to the letter from T. A. Ippolito to H.
G.
Par ris dated May 29, 1981 we will be submitting additional justification for the requested license amendment TVA BFNP TS 162 as soon as possible.
We have determined this requested license amendment to be a supplement to earlier
- request, TVA BFNP TS 162.
T"is is based on the fact that the enclosed revisions are needed only to have the technical specification reflect actual plant configuration.
For that reason this requested license amendment is classified as an administrative change, just as TS 162.
Because this is a supplement to an earlier requested license amendment additional licensing fees are not being forwarded.
