In the Matter of the Tennessee Valley Authority Docket Nos. 50-259 50-260 50-296
=In accordance with 10 CFR Parts 50.59 and 50.90 we are submitting a
. equest for amendment to the facility operating licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1, 2, and 3.
This amendment is to document the change submitted previously by letter from J.
E. Gilleland to Geor ge Lear dated April 20,
- 1978, and to make the operating license consistent with the April 20, 1978, letter.
The amendment allows TVA to interchange the initiation logic for the C02 fire protection system and the water spray system in the cable spreading room to make the water spray the primary sys'em'nd to make the CO system the manual backup system.
4 In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22 we have determined this proposed amendment to be Class II for units 1 and Class I for units 2 and '3.
These classifications are based on the facts that the oroposed safety amendment involves a single safety issue which does not involve a significant hazard consideration for unit 1 and the proposed amendments for units 2 and 3 are duplicates for the unit 1 proposed amendment.
The remittance for $2,000 (41,200 for unit 1 and
$800 for units 2 and 3) is being wired to the NRC, Attention:
Licensing Fee Management Branch.
