Dear Mr. Parr:

In our December 2, 1977 presentation to you, we outlined our plans to perform a confirmatory test on the quencher device to be used on the Susquehanna plant.

This test is being planned by Kraftwerk Union (KWU) and will be run in their test facility in Karlstein, Federal Republic of Germany.

We plan to forward. the test matrix and plan to you during the last week in January for your review and comment. If you wish to inspect the test facility, the week'f'ebruary 13 would be the most favorable time, since access to the instrumentation and test tank will be difficult after that.

We also invite you to view the performance of some of the test runs.

At the present time, the week of May 15 appears to be the optimum time to witness the tests.

Some preliminary results should be available then.

We will keep you informed of any changes to our plans and schedule for the quencher testing program.

Very truly yours, N.
